THE FIVE BEST SELLING MODERN MADE CROCHET AND KNTTING PATTERNS OF 2022

5. The Boho Baby Blanket Crochet Pattern

The Boho Baby Blanket Crochet Pattern is one of my personal favorites. It is made with square motifs that have angular pattern. The addition of the little picots gives it that boho vibe.
The Boho Baby Blanket Crochet Pattern

The Boho Baby Blanket Crochet Pattern is one of my personal favorites. It is made with square motifs that have angular pattern. The addition of the little picots gives it that boho vibe. This pattern is great for crocheters that are more comfortable with the craft as the pattern is a little more intricate and uses an unusual motif design. I designed this pattern with Lion Brand Yarn, Vanna's Choice, in Silver Blue, but any basic worsted weight yarn would work great.

4. The Cable Throw Crochet Pattern

The Cable Throw was my first pattern release of 2022 and I'm so glad you all loved it! I had been wanting to tackle a cable pattern for a while and designing this pattern also took me awhile! This pattern requires a lot of yarn and a lot of patience but if that's the kind of pattern you love, this one is for you!

This pattern requires a lot of yarn and a lot of patience but if that's the kind of pattern you love, this one is for you!

This pattern also comes with a video tutorial and free pattern for the standard throw size on my website.

The pattern for sale on Etsy is an intermediate crochet pattern including 5 sizes (Standard throw, 50”x 60”, Baby, 30”x 36”, Small throw, 40”x 50“, Large Throw 60”x 60”, X, Large Throw 60”x 70”).

For this pattern I used Lion Brand Yarn, Wool Ease in Antler. I do think most basic worsted weight yarns would work great for this pattern.

3. The Seedling Baby Blanket Knitting Pattern

I designed The Seedling back in 2019 for my baby nephew who will be turning 3 this year! This pattern is so simple and yet it looks so good.

I designed The Seedling back in 2019 for my baby nephew who will be turning 3 this year! This pattern is so simple and yet it looks so good.

If you feel comfortable with casting on, knitting, purling, and reading a knitting pattern, this pattern will be fun and easy for you! It is one of the easiest knitting patterns in Modern Made Shop and has been one of your favorites since its release in 2019.

For The Seedling I used Wool and The Gang's Super Trouper Wool Yarn in Terracotta Blush. You can use any basic worsted weight yarn. You'll need 736 yds.

2. The Bobble Throw Crochet Pattern

Modern Made would not be what it is without The Bobble Throw Crochet Pattern. The Bobble Throw is the first pattern I released that really started to gain traction on Etsy back in 2019. This was a REALLY fun pattern to design and I've heard from many of you that its really fun to make too!

I've seen you enter this throw in state fairs and make multiple blankets in so many colors I would have never imagined. It makes me so happy to think of it on your hooks and in your homes. Here are some of my favorite things you've had to say about The Bobble Throw:

"Stunning blanket!! Easy to understand pattern with zero flaws. One of my favorite patterns I’ve made in a long time!" Beth Ashcraft Jul 1, 2021

"Loved working this pattern so much I made two, both using Lion Brand Touch of Alpaca. First one for myself was in Taupe; second one for my son was in Dusty Blue, Olive and Crimson. While lightweight, the finished afghan is remarkably warm. Soft texture, beautiful drape. Heirlooms to be sure."

Roni Jordan Mar 22, 2021

Great pattern (Bobble Throw Crochet Pattern)! Easy to unterstand and absolutely doable as a beginner. I used the recommended yarn from lionbrand „Touch of Alpaka“ in the colour Taupe (674-123). I love the result: a cosy, modern blanket <3 You can see more pictures of the blanket on my IG: https://www.instagram.com/freitagswerk/

1. The Seersucker Baby Blanket Knitting Pattern

I designed this baby blanket for my daughter! It is hands down my favorite knitting pattern I've designed and the best selling pattern in Modern Made Shop of 2022.

I'm so glad you all have loved it! I had high hopes of my daughter loving it too! With my needles resting on my big pregnant belly, I imagined her carrying around this hand-knit, mom-designed blanket for comfort. Instead she grew attached to one of my old, pandemic-staple sweatshirts and carries in around like a blanket.

This pattern features a seersucker texture created by a pattern of knits and purls with a wide ribbed edging. This knitting pattern is perfect for any knitter who is familiar with casting on, knitting, purling, and casting off. This pattern is considered EASY because while it only utilizes beginner level skills, the pattern itself is a little more intricate than a beginner may be comfortable with.

Here are some of my favorite things you've had to say about The Seersucker Baby Blanket Knitting Pattern :

"I hadn’t knitted for years and had never followed a pattern but found this to be a manageable and enjoyable project with a great result. I knitted the baby blanket during my pregnancy in anticipation of my son. It helped me stay occupied and productive while resting. Using the recommended yarn, I was able to machine wash and dry the finished product in preparation for use with a newborn. It came out soft and perfectly in tact. I would knit this pattern again." olindsey2 Jul 22, 2022

"This was my first time using a knitting pattern involving more than just stitch counts. The pattern was very easy to follow and very straightforward. It turned out beautifully! I made this as a baby gift for my sister but my cats were happy to test it out! Very happy with the result." Emily McGonigle Jul 20, 2022

"If you’re a beginner knitter and would love to have practice with alternating your knit and purl stitches then I couldn’t recommend the Seersucker Knit Baby Blanket more. This is a newly released pattern from the maker @modernmadestudio. I’ve just started mine and am enjoying my time spent working on it. This picture features my notes which if you’re like me and you have rows to repeat and need to make sure you stay organized and on track, then you write out exactly which row you’re on. (There’s 160 total rows and I’m on row 21) 😅" @joyousone1993

A simple, beginner friendly pattern made with chunky yarn to work up quickly. This blanket is COZY. The Cordate Throw's name is inspired by it's heart- shaped stitches.

The Ribbed Seedling is a knit baby blanket pattern featuring the beaded seed stitch, a combo of the seed stitch and ribbing. The border on this baby blanket knitting pattern is made up of the seed stitch.

I have classified The Ribbed Seedling under the knitting skill level EASY (a step more advanced than beginner). While this knitting pattern utilizes beginner level skills (casting on, knitting, purling, casting off), the intricacy of the pattern may be a bit much for a true beginner to tackle. That being said, as you can see below, there is only a 2 row repeat, so don't shy away from this project if you already have some experience knitting blankets or throws.

I really enjoyed designing and making this knit baby blanket pattern and I hope you do as well. It is a bit of a sequel to the much loved The Seedling Baby Blanket Knitting Pattern. If you are looking for a project where a true seed stitch is the star of a show, that might be what you are looking for!
